Grace Palmer

The Wish Bone, a novel about childhood cancer and how it affects each member of the Fisher family, is completed and I'm seeking a literary agent at the moment. I'm now writing my second novel, Cathy's Field, about a woman establishing a new life for herself in the countryside.

Sometimes I can be found reading at events, and in 2015 performed at National Flash Fiction Day, Bristol Festival of Literature and at Sanctum.

I organise Novel Nights, a live literary event in Bristol and Bath, featuring well-known novelists, sharing their experience. See our event page for details.

The Novel Nights programme includes space for writers to submit and read work in progress. I firmly believe in creating a community where writers can shine.

I've been writing since I could hold a pen, and my love affair with words began with poetry. A training as a journalist, a creative writing and English Literature Degree followed with an early claim to fame being published in the same school magazine as Carol Ann Duffy.

My day job is in PR writing press releases on scientific subjects. My passion though is writing creatively and of course, reading.

One of my short stories, Delicardo David, was featured on BBC Radio Bristol’s Upload with Adam Crowther. You can listen to it below:
