Glenn Carmichael

 

Glenn's first novel Still Searching for the Big City Beats won the East Side Writers award in 2000. It was originally published by PIMP$ of the ALPHAB£T PRESS in 2000.

 

Still Searching for the Big City Beats was the first British novel to use the performance poetry scene as its backdrop and is now regarded as a cult classic. It is available as an imprint on Burning Eye Books.

 

Glenn completed a Creative Writing MA at Bath Spa University, and was aiming to redraft his 4th novel Nobody Came when he died. It's about Gene, an addict on the run for murder, living with his secrets in South America. You can watch Glenn read a great excerpt here
